Details: Pair of Royal Dux Bohemia
Figurines. Rustic Shepherd and Shepherdess, both 9.5" tall.
Both pieces have the requisite pink triangle impressed with
"Royal Dux Bohemia" and the "D" impressed acorn, indicating
production approx 1947.
Additional marks on the shepherd: "2261 & 61" (impressed) and
"41" (painted -- probably the decorator's mark). Marks on the
shepherdess: "2262 & 61" (impressed) and "41" (painted). The
shepherd lacks his crook, otherwise fine condition.
Royal Dux Bohemia produced some of the highest quality, most
distinctive porcelain figures of the early 20th century and the
pair offered here are no exception.
